What is Walton Promenade parkrun?
A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it’s up to you! Nearby Sunday 2k junior parkrun events for 4 to 14 year olds and their families can be found here.
When is it?
Every Saturday at 9:00am.
Where is it?
The event takes place at Walton Promenade (Southcliff Promenade), Walton-on-the-Naze, CO14 8ES. See Course page for more details.
What does it cost to join in?
Nothing – it’s free! but please register before you first come along. Only ever register with parkrun once and don’t forget to bring a scannable copy of your barcode (request a reminder). If you forget it, you won’t get a time.
How fast do I have to be?
We all take part for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace!

Location of start
The event starts approximately 250 yards to the right of the Pier.
Getting there by public transport
Train:Â There is a frequent rail service to Walton-on-the-Naze. The start is only a few minutes walk from the station.
Getting there on foot
By foot make for the Pier and then turn right to the start. Access to the Promenade can be gained from several locations to the south of the Pier.
Getting there by road
Walton-on-the-Naze is approached from Kirby-le-Soken on the B1034, the road going into the centre of Walton, where take the turning ahead into Church Road which crosses over into The Parade which leads to the Pier.
There is parking in Church Road car park or Walton Station car park both of which are only a few minutes walk from the start. There is very limited roadside parking on the front to the left of the pier.
