The Uttlesford Community Hub was opened by Nick Alston (Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex) and Dan Bentley (Paralympic Gold and Bronze Medallist) on 2nd October 2014.
The generosity of the following businesses enabled the building to be purchased and refurbished:
- Social Investment Business (SIB) provided the major funding required to purchase and refurbish the building
- Uttlesford District Council provided funding that was used to create disabled access and refurbish the external areas of the building
- Power Construction provided materials to form a rear patio area

The following rooms are available to hire for meetings, conferences, community groups, and training events:
Uttlesford Community Hub is also home to The Tea Leaf Cafe, who are able to provide refreshments for meetings as well as table bookings and parties.
