St Clare Hospice is a local charity and each year we care for hundreds of people across West Essex and the East Hertfordshire border.
We offer palliative care for people over the age of 18 who are living with a life-limiting illness when a cure is no longer possible. We also support families, carers and friends. Respecting and encouraging individuality, dignity and self-esteem underpins all that we do.
We have an Inpatient Unit which has a lovely warm homely feel, allowing people to be together with privacy and dignity. The Inpatient Unit provides short stay care, with the average stay being around 10 days.
We offer Day Therapy Services to care for patients and families in a wide range of ways to enhance quality of life, promote independence and build self confidence. This includes online exercise, groups, and complementary therapy.
We also offer Community Services to provide patients, their families and carers, with physical, emotional, social, psychological and spiritual support, at home or here at the Hospice.
The Patient and Family Support team at St Clare Hospice will work with you holistically, considering your practical, emotional, spiritual and social needs, as well as offering support to your family and friends.
