At Christ Church we believe no one should go hungry. We have food and toiletries in our porch for people to help themselves to. No questions, no forms, just take what you need.
It is open from 8.30 – 5.30 Mondays – Thursdays and Sunday mornings (but if the porch is open at other times – you’re welcome to come in and help yourself)
If you would like to help support the porch pantry (we need help to keep it stocked up, to transport donations or shopping from supermarkets – and, of course, financially) contact Sylvia Parker 01992 425411
The Porch Pantry is proving to be a valuable and much needed provision within
the community. People are taking items from the Porch and many food bags
have been delivered.
For those who would like to donate, please consider the following items whilst
shopping:
Cereals
Tinned: curry, chilli, fruit, rice pudding, custard, tuna, meat pies, baked beans,
hot dogs, meat balls, soup
Jars: pasta bake, bolognaise, curry
Tea, coffee, long life milk
Marmite, Jam, honey
Squash
Ready to bake baguettes
Crisps, biscuits, cookies
Snack items for children: boxes of raisins, mini breadsticks, mini cheddars
Toiletries: toothpaste, nappies, shower gel, shampoo, sanitary products etc.
Please no fresh or chilled food.
