Parents Aid Southern Essex is a charity that works locally, for and with parents and families at risk of social exclusion, to improve the quality of their lives. We achieve change by championing their voices and providing support services to meet their needs.
We provide services of information and advocacy, befriending and support, family mediation, anger management and assertiveness and effective parenting skills to families at risk of social exclusion living in mid and south Essex. We are still in action supporting families despite the current pandemic, seeking creative ways to deliver services whilst home visits are not advisable and our locality surgeries at risk of closure due to restrictions on use of the venues. It may, for example, be possible for us to deliver mediation remotely using an app such as Lifesize. But we are still welcoming referrals and would like to encourage families to ring in at any time if they think we may be able to help.
