North Avenue Youth Centre (NAYC) is an independent, charity-based youth centre in Chelmsford. We provide young people with a safe, affordable place to go supporting the development of young peoples physical, mental and spiritual capacities, so they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society, and their conditions of life may improve.
We are a non religious organisation, welcoming and working with those of all and no faith.
Through regular evening sessions and holiday provision for young people aged 8 to 18 (25 with additional needs) we aim to create a warm and safe space for all young people to be able to spend time with their friends, take part in fun and exciting activities and learn new skills. Our experienced team of youth workers work with young people to develop our programs and are always looking for new ideas and projects. Young people are always at the centre of our work. Some of the things we do are: sports (in our purpose-built sports hall!!), including football, basket-ball, badminton, table tennis and more! We also have an X-box, pool table, arts and crafts and a full kitchen where we cook regularly.
During the holidays we do sleep overs, film nights, activity days and residentials such as Stubbers adventure weekend, days out ice-skating, trampolining days out, park visits. We have even had groups go to Wales for residentials. If there is something you want to do get in touch and let us know!
