Let’s Talk Essex is a movement to fight against Stigma and Discrimination against people with Mental Illness.
A group of volunteers share their personal experiences of living with mental Illness, we call them Ambassadors. By describing their journeys they help people understand the impact of living with mental illnesses, like Eating Disorders, Depression, Anxiety or Bipolar. The Ambassadors deliver these powerful stories through social media, Blogs, Podcasts or even running events.
The movement is funded by Essex County Council with support from Mind in West Essex and The Ideas Hub Chelmsford
If you have a lived experience and feel able to share this with others then you can volunteer as an Ambassador and work alongside others with similar journeys and help us to change the attitude towards mental illness. You can offer as much time as you have free to support the movement and we welcome all.
