The Foakes Hall is a spacious venue located near the centre of Great Dunmow, an historic market town in Essex located close to Bishop’s Stortford, Chelmsford and Braintree and within easy reach of the A12 and the M11 motorway. The hall can be used for many different types of events, for example: plays, shows, exhibitions, craft fayres, celebrations, parties and meetings.
- The Main Hall has a stage and can seat up to 276 people for plays and shows.
- The smaller Talberd Room can seat up to 80 people, with bar and kitchen facilities also available.
- The most recent addition, the Downs Room, can seat up to 30 people and is ideal for meetings.
Local residents and organisations based in Uttlesford are eligible for preferential rates when arranging to hire the hall, but rates are very competitive overall because the hall is run as a Charitable Trust.
