Essex Sight operates from the borders with Suffolk in the north to the M25 in the south and out to the coast. We have a permanent Sight Centre in Colchester, and a number of pop up clinics that operate in towns throughout the County.
We provide support, advice, information and our Colchester Sight Centre has a wide range of equipment for demonstration to help with everyday living.
We have lively social events, coffee clubs and activity days. We also provide confidential help, reading documents and filling out forms.
Our Eye Clinic Liaison Officers work within Eye Departments and low vision clinics in Mid and North Essex Hospitals providing support to patients and their families.We also offer home visiting, finding practical solutions for people to help them to continue to live independent lives.
We are always on the lookout for friendly and helpful volunteers to join our team and help make a real difference to the lives of visually impaired people.
