Space to Gather Online is a free online group for family carers caring for a young person or adult with a learning disability which may include autism too. Meeting via Zoom on the first Monday Evening of every other month, 6.30pm-8pm. It can help to talk with peers who have experienced many of the same things, share ideas, knowledge and empathy.
Upcoming dates – 5th June – Carer’s Week, 7th August, 2nd October, 4th December.
We will also have occasional guest speakers on particular relevant topics and we offer short courses and webinars which you can learn about at the group.
Essex Carers Network
We are a network of families caring for a family member with a learning disability which may include autism too. We work to ensure the lived experiences and voices of our families informs and influences the future landscape and opportunities for people with a learning disability and autism and their families in Essex. We work to support our families to have the tools they need to feel strong, resilient and empowered in order for them to advocate for their family.
