Space to Gather is a free to attend local face to face group for family carers caring for a young person or adult with a learning disability which may include autism too. Meeting in Colchester on the Last Tuesday of every other month, 6.45pm-8.45pm.

As families we know it can help to talk with peers who have experienced many of the same things, share ideas, knowledge and empathy with a coffee and biscuit.
We will also have occasional guest speakers on particular relevant topics and we offer short courses and webinars which you can learn about at the group. We have a wealth of resources from researched sources to help with Money Matters, Care Act, MentalCapacity and much more.
Essex Carers Network
We are a network of families caring for a family member with a learning disability which may include autism too. We work to ensure the lived experiences and voices of our families informs and influences the future landscape and opportunities for people with a learning disability and autism and their families in Essex. We work to support our families to have the tools they need to feel strong, resilient and empowered in order for them to advocate for their family.
