We are a charity and use 100% of our income to help people in need.
We sell pre-loved furniture, white goods and other household items at reasonable prices. By buying from us, you will be helping others.
We give very reasonable discounts to people on benefits. In some cases, we provide furniture and goods free of charge.
We collect, free of charge, any furniture, goods or other items you may care to donate. By donating to us, you will be helping others.
We work with a number of local agencies including:
- Hostels for the homeless
- Refuges
- Councils
- Housing Associations
- Hospital discharge teams
- Citizens Advice Bureaus
- Local schools
We are able to support people in need in 1 of 3 ways.
People in need can contact us directly, or they can be referred to us by one of the many agencies we work closely with, or by family and friends. We take account of their personal circumstances, their needs and their financial situation.
For example, they may be suffering from physical or mental health issues, been re-housed, or be victims of abuse.
Free of Charge
We can provide essential items free of charge to people in need who cannot afford to pay for them.
These can be new or donated items, depending on what we have in stock at the time.
Vouchers
We provide the agencies with whom we work with vouchers which they can provide to those in need.
These vouchers can be put towards the cost of new or donated items, with the balance of the sales price paid by the individual themselves.
Discounted Prices
We operate a dual pricing policy. The reduced price of essential items is available for those people who receive some form of income-related benefit, such as Universal Credit.
