The coronavirus outbreak has meant significant changes to the way in which Epping Forest Community Transport (EFCT) operates its services in the local communities.
EFCT would like to thank all our drivers for such an amazing job during covid-19 Helping the vulnerable to get essential shopping, prescriptions and reach their important medical appointments – 110 Dial-A-Ride to date.
Supporting NHS (Princess Alexandra Hospital Harlow), daily with the delivery of medication to patients, with serious underlying heath conditions and must isolate – 342 deliveries to date. EFCT drivers have empowered 493 essential key workers to get to work.
Our office team (who are all working from home) have organised all these journeys. Including receiving over 3,000 calls.
The team are telephoning passengers it’s been heart wrenching they are scared and feel vulnerable. Equally they are overwhelmed that EFCT team are offering help if needed and have all said a big Thank you.
