We are part of Age Concern Southend On Sea and are based in the Haven Community Hub in Hamlet Court Road. Age Concern give support and advice to the over 60’s in our community. We have a befriending service that gives help and a friendly ear to nearly 200 people who find themselves lonely and socially isolated.
The Haven Community Hub is open to all ages and is a Pram/Wheelchair accessible building. It offers in-house classes, starting at £2 including keep fit, yoga, computing, crochet, choir, line dancing , tai chi, circus skills, table tennis and playgroups. There is a large, easy accessible 65 seater cafe with free toys and board games available for use in the hub. We host a range of services including carers support, dementia advice, health advice, mental health support.
Days at the Haven is our day centre specialising in Dementia care , located in the hub. We offer a bespoke programme, tailored to individual needs . We have a range of activities, entertainment , games and speakers.
