Are you struggling to keep your children occupied and happy during the Covid-19 lockdown? Is all the stuff available online overwhelming? Is your school expecting your children to do a huge amount at home – or is there very little coming through? Are you worried about your child’s wellbeing – or your own in this time of crisis? Whatever your worries, your ACL Community and Family learning team is here to help. Traditionally, we have interacted with parents and families through schools and children’s centres – supporting families with children from pre-school upwards. Some of you may have been on our play and language or story sack courses, or found out more about emotional wellbeing and assertive parenting, ways to make learning fun and or how best to support children starting school.
Well, now we are launching some online support and services for our previous learners and for families new to us. From 27 April, we will be offering bite-sized videos and interactive courses online to help you negotiate these tricky times – ranging from craft ideas and how to make playdough together (if you can spare the flour!), to understanding emotional wellbeing, to Maths and English, to parenting and online safety.
If you are a parent, carer, grandparent or are supporting a child or young person living in Essex then we have support on offer for you.
