Colchester Korban Project provides supported housing for young people in crisis who would otherwise be homeless. We work with young people aged 16-25 to give them a home, safety, support and guidance towards them helping to live independently. We have two houses that we run in Colchester; our main ‘hub’ house with five beds and our ‘move-on’ house with three beds which young people live in once they are ready for a little more independence.
The project was started as a response to the growing issue of youth homelessness in the area by a group of churches in 2006. Since then, the project has helped a wide range of young people feel like they have a home.
All young people who come to Korban must have some connection with Colchester already.
