Community Forums give residents a real say about the decisions made about their area, they provide a link between Thurrock Council, police, health services and the village. Â The Forum offers services according to the needs of the community: we currently host Outreach Post Office services, a community cafe, hold affordable seasonal events, speak on behalf of residents at, for instance, planning committee meetings, host the local councillors’ surgeries, host consultation events by health, council and police, access funding to provide requested facilities (e.g. defibrillator, benches strategically placed to promote walking exercise, village Christmas tree, recycling facilities, help with IT, free WiFi access, liaison between all the village organisations and lots of information which we send out as email, Facebook posts or hard copies). Â We have recently led a successful campaign to save our beloved Victorian letter box. Â We offer the services to all who need them, but primarily for those who live in, work in or have a connection with Bulphan.
Most activities take place at Bulphan Village Hall and the attached Recreation Ground.
