akt - LGBTIQ+

akt supports lgbtq+ young people aged 16-25 in the uk who are experiencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment.

We help LGBTQ+ young people find safe homes and can support with things like employment, education and training, in an environment that celebrates LGBTQ+ identities.

if so, akt can help you to: 

• Stay safe
• Find emergency accommodation
• Access specialist support 
• Develop skills, identify and achieve life goals – like going to uni or getting a job

we do this by offering:

• Advice from one of our housing specialists
• One-to-one support from our trained mentors
• Access to our emergency support pack or tenancy starter pack
• Accommodation with a trained akt host
• A place to stay in our Purple Door accommodation service 
• A safe place with one of our many housing provider partners 
• Access to life skills training, events and peer support

Support will be tailored to your own situation and whatever works best for you.
