About the Basildon centre
The Basildon Centre is home to Open Road and Essex STaRS. Within the centre there are a number of services available including a drop-in area. As part of our drop in, we have a Needle Exchange service, where clients can come and discuss, confidentially, aspects of harm minimisation, and safe practice. The other aspect to our work is in providing a treatment package for service users and their families. We do this by assessing the individual’s need, and then planning a treatment journey with the client to enable them to make changes in their lives. We would recommend making an initial appointment to access this treatment programme. As part of our joined up service provision you can access Essex Young Peoples Drug & Alcohol service (EYPDAS) for under 25 year olds at this centre.
