Jacks Centre Latchingdon Bowls Club is a vibrant, community-focused indoor bowls club serving Essex and the surrounding areas. Open year-round, we provide high-quality indoor rinks for bowlers of all ages and abilities, supporting both social and competitive play in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Proudly registered as a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC), Jacks Centre operates on a non-profit basis with activities overseen by a dedicated, member-led committee. Our CASC status reflects our commitment to accessible grassroots sport, community participation and long-term development of the game.
The Centre is proud to be home to the former FODBEC group, and we actively welcome disabled bowlers. Our facilities include accessible access and disabled amenities to ensure the Club can be enjoyed by as many people as possible.
Our modern indoor facilities host leagues, club competitions, friendly matches and county-level play throughout the season. Coaching is available to support skill development and confidence building, with experienced members helping to nurture both new and established players.
Beyond the rinks, Jacks Centre is a lively social hub. Members enjoy a comfortable licensed bar and welcoming lounge area, along with an in-house café/kitchen providing refreshments and catering during matches and events. A varied calendar of social activities, entertainment evenings and club events ensures the Centre remains active and engaging throughout the year.
We operate as a member-based club with a clear joining pathway. Prospective bowlers are guided through our membership process to ensure they receive appropriate support and coaching before taking to the rinks.
