Our newly refurbished Workshop is kitted out with a wood working space for creation and repairs. We have a large space for painting and generally upcycling furniture. We also have SEND School groups in using the space a few hours a week for work experience and a small number of volunteers who help create items to sell to raise money for the Social Enterprise.
We are keen to welcome new volunteers, whether skilled or just keen to learn. Anyone who wants to get stuck in and help out, anyone needing to get out of the house and work on something new and different. Neurodivergent, bereaved, retired or differently-abled people welcome – we can make accommodations in most instances.
We currently don’t have any volunteers using our sewing room upstairs – there are plenty of fabrics waiting to be transformed into items we can sell. (If stairs are an issue we can bring things down.) It’s our aim to reduce things going into landfill, so we also need people who can transform something that might, to some people, look like rubbish for the skip, into treasure for someone’s home.
