We are a small Essex based charity and we run art and craft sessions for our local community to help improve their mental health and wellbeing.
The Art Ministry was founded in 1992 and became a registered charity in 2005.
We aim to involve members of the local community in creative activity to provide them with opportunities for increasing social interaction, boosting self confidence, improving self esteem and having fun to help maintain or improve their mental health and wellbeing.
Our regular creative sessions focus on people most likely to benefit from the opportunity of being involved in them, namely children and adults with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, visual impairments and/or mental health issues.
We extend our engagement with the community by working in partnership with other charities, schools, social housing schemes and local government to provide children, young people and adults.
We engage an even wider audience in creative activities at an average of 10 community events each year.
We are based in Hadleigh in Essex and operate across south east Essex.
