Healthy Minds (West Essex IAPT) provides access to a wide range of talking therapy treatments for adults with common mental health problems, including: depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. Healthy Minds is part of Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with Mind in West Essex. Healthy Minds is part of the national initiative Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT).
Treatment sessions may be by phone, online, in groups/workshops or face-to-face. Our primary treatment options are based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which is a structured therapy where you will set goals you want to reach and work on changes you can make to patterns of thoughts and behaviours to help you attain your goals.
Support Time and Recovery (STaR) Workers can also offer people support with social inclusion, health promotion and practical support for difficulties such as housing, employment and finances.
Healthy Minds allows those aged 14 and above registered with a GP in West Essex to refer into the service.
